There are many different equipment and obstacles that your dog can train on, like climbing objects, jumps etc. One such equipment is the agility tunnel or chute. These are used in dog championships and competitions and if you want to participate, you can get your dog accustomed to them.

Some dogs, the small ones, who are genetically predisposed to burrowing like terriers love tunnels and chutes. Other dogs, the larger breeds take some time getting accustomed to them. Large dogs don’t like to be boxed in, and if the tunnel is narrow, they can’t stand up and hence like to avoid them.

There are two types of agility tunnels, the closed ones and the open ones. While terriers that are comfortable with narrow enclosed spaces can be trained with both varieties, the larger dogs need to be trained with open tunnels. If you check PetKlace, you will see both types of tunnels. Normally a dog is fearful of tunnels because he cannot see the owner and does not like to be boxed in. So with an open tunnel, if you sit down, push your face through one end and call the dog, your pet can easily overcome his fear.

Of course your dog may not be in a mood at times and go around the dog agility tunnel. Dogs are like little children, you shouldn’t rush to do a trick and don’t force.

Is your pet getting listless and lazy? Does your dog not even rush to the door to greet you when you come home from work? What your pet needs is exercise to get him as active and playful as he was.

Dogs, like humans these days are getting more and more sedentary. The pet stays in the apartment while the owner goes out to earn a living. It simply does not get to run and play. This poses a grave risk to the health of the dog, and can be life threatening. The dog’s bones are designed to support a specific range of weight, and when the dog becomes over this amount, it can be a cause of worry.

Dogs are hardwired to be physical, agile and lean. They love being out of doors and would love to run. If they do not get enough exercise, they start becoming lazy and depressed. Fortunately, though, it is easier to perk up dogs and motivate them to exercise than humans who would love to procrastinate. Of course dogs love it if you join them for their run or exercise with them. This can be beneficial for both you and your pet.

Agility devices from PetKlace that will help you and your pet enjoy the wonderful fresh air out doors like the dog tunnels. Like babies, dogs are also adventurous and inquisitive. What better way to satisfy your dogs craving, by giving your pet a dog tunnel from PetKlace to crawl into and explore.
